Ski-obsessed Mum of 4, ex ski racer and diploma qualified ski teacher with over 30 years of experience in the ski industry.

My career in the ski industry has led me to become the Worlds Leading baby and toddler ski teacher.

I truly believe that the dreams we have for the lifestyle that we would like to live come into our real life experience because we invite them through our thoughts, emotions and day dreams.

Maybe you’re like me and have dreamt of your kids skiing before they are even born and what that will be like for you as a parent too.

Sometimes I take a step back and look at my life and appreciate that this is actually exactly what I used to dream about. Skiing with my babies and supporting other families professionally to ski with theirs too.

This wonderful 2 year old little girl arrived here

This wonderful 2 year old little girl arrived here from Thailand this week and had never tried skis on. A quick session in her ski chalet the day before and she knew what it was all about before her morning ski session with me.

We remember these 3 things before we head out to the snow with a little skier:

1- Prepare at home by trying on and playing with equipment, clothing, reading ski books, watching videos and playing with ski related toys.

2- Show them your love for skiing energy, smile and vibe✨

3- Talk about skiing with them, tell them what’s going to happen, what it will feel like, what they will see and who they are going to do it with and that they will keep them safe and have fun with them.

Preparation is the key to a successful first introduction to skiing.

Last winter Oona was exploring the mountain with me age 1. Join us this winter as I show you how I support her to start becoming and independent 2 year old skier.

The biggest question I get asked is HOW OLD CAN THEY START SKIING?

The answer is we can ‘introduce’ skiing to them from any age by showing them the light plastic skis, letting them try them on step in them etc and I’ve found that on snow most toddlers are ready to have a little go on snow around 18 months old with the right equipment and a professional ski teacher to prepare and support them.

All kids are different so some are older and some younger. But most are normally good to have a go by at least 2 years old. A toddler that has been walking a while and can walk on uneven surfaces like snow, sand, mud or the bed or sofa normally does well on skis. If they want to climb and jump already even better!

The important thing to remember is that we are not ‘teaching them to ski’ we are introducing skiing to them and ‘teaching them to love skiing’ this way the learning to ski part come naturally and beautifully.

Proof that I can ski and stay upright (most of the time). 🏔️⛷️ After my last reel of me becoming one with the snow (and remembering what it tastes like), I thought I’d remind everyone (and myself) that I do have my moments of glory.

But let’s be real, these are professional staged photos and skiing isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, having fun, and occasionally eating snow with style.

So yes, I’m a skier and so are you, no matter what your skill level.

That’s right, you heard me…

I’m a professional ski teacher who has dedicated my life to earning the highest qualifications and gaining the most experience in the ski industry. I specialize in teaching children to ski, but here’s the surprising part:

I don’t feel like I taught my own children to ski.

So, who taught them?

They taught themselves—naturally.

My role wasn’t to “teach” them in the traditional sense. Instead, I created a fun, happy, and safe environment for them to explore and learn on their own. Let me explain…

When my children were learning to walk, I didn’t teach them how to walk. I simply provided a safe, supportive, and encouraging space for them to figure it out. And I imagine you did the same, right?

It’s the same with skiing.

My role when skiing with children isn’t to “teach them to ski.” Instead, with my expertise, I show them that we ski because it’s a fun thing to do. When children are happy and enjoying themselves, the skiing comes naturally. It’s so beautiful to watch them figure out—on their own, with my skills and care —how to stop, change direction, and control their speed.

Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of young children learn to ski this way. And what I’ve found is that this approach creates little skiers who love skiing, who want to ski, and who look natural and free on their skis.

Once you learn that involving your kids in skiing is so much more than just the skiing a whole world of fun opens up.

When we set our expectations to simply including a child in the world of skiing and having a good time together, the skiing comes naturally, when they are supported by a professional ski teacher.

My philosophy is that I don’t TEACH children to ski, I professionally SUPPORT them and expertly CARE for them in the ski environment in a fun way. The result is a natural, free little skier who loves doing it… and it’s beautiful to watch them grow on skis and be a part of it all!

❗️REMEBER YOUR HELMET In my opinion anyone who chooses not to wear a helmet while skiing is not thinking wisely. I’ve had to throw away 4 helmets that have cracked open over the years. I’d rather that than my head any day.

🚁 One time I got helicoptered to hospital after a crash during a ski cross final, the doctor looked at my cracked helmet and said « thank goodness you were wearing this »
